Mixer and Dialogue Equalizer for motion picture sound, from the 1940s. Obtained from a famous film processing facility in New York, NY. Each of the two inputs uses a D-175873 Western Electric microphone transformer to drive a 1620 pentode (similar or identical to 6J7), followed by a classic passive equalizer. Each channel then passes through a Daven stepped attenuator and the two amplified, equalized paths are summed and output through a PEC/Direct selector switch. This is classic Western Electric film sound production gear and is built like a tank (though not as heavy). Includes two Canon to XLR female adapter cables for microphone inputs, a custom power supply with audio output and PEC input, PSU cable, copies of the mixer schematic and other related documents. Unit has been tested for functionality but is sold as-is due to age. Only one in stock.
