Also known as the Langevin EQ-252-A, these units are used for "Equalizing for Spectral Character" as the original specifcation sheet stated. These units are bridged-T equalizers documented by Harry Kimball in the Motion Picture Sound Engineering textbook from 1938. Arranged as a graphic equalizer first in the Cinema Engineering 7080, the Altec and Langevin units later inspired those equalizers made famous in Motown.
Housed in custom cases with UTC input and Jensen output transformers, plus the original Opamp Labs 425 discrete amplifier for makeup gain, these units quietly deliver the ultimate in spectral shaping.
Price is for a pair of units, one pair available.
